And to answer your other question, the "Danish cartoon controversy" was a trivial matter unlike the question of whether the US and other countries are going to start a war causing hundreds of thousands of deaths. Since anyone who reads my posts here at all knows I favor virtually unlimited free speech rights. I wouldn't favor any government censorship of such materials in a newspaper. It was nice to see a bunch of right wingers actually favoring free speech for a change.

I have no reason to suppose that your uninformed opinion about a hypothethical situation has any validity. And if "All nations have the right to take whatever action it deems fit (preemptive and otherwise) to protect itself" then you really don't have any bitch if Iran says to the West "Take your law and your incompetent UN a**holes and shove it."

No I do not. If they think having nukes is for their protection and self defense thats fine. There is no law that can deny a person or nation the right to defend themselves. Israel took preenptive action because it is a well known fact (which you may deny) that most of the Islamic states would like to see the destruction of Israel. Iran can ignore the UN and proceed but then Israel may take the same action as it did against Iraq.

You are incorrect again. There are plenty of laws that deny a person the right to defend himself whenever and however he deems it fit. And there are plenty of international laws that deny the same purported "right" by nations. They're called "Crimes against Peace" and some Germans, including Foreign Minister Von Ribbentrop, wound up at the end of a rope in 1946 for committing them.

No thats not 'my' problem. (my country doesn't want your dirty money, though we're happen to pick and choose from your diverse cultural offerings ..thats a different story though).

The Worlds problem is America's history of invading smaller, weaker countries. By my count at least 50 since WWII

A Typical Right Wing approach. The reasoning/debate gets a little too challenging, so you go all pre-enlightnement on us and resort to chest beating aggression.

Aren't chess playes supposed to be smarter than that?

If you truly believe that, then you need to read an actual history book. Only in the Yon Kippur war of 1973 did the Arab nations fire the first shot and that was to regain territory seized by Israel in 1967 (by a very successful sneak attack).
I can read a history book and I can also read a map. In 56 that ahole Nasser a man you probably admired closed the Suez canal. I believe England and France were involved with that war also. In 67 the Arabs massed troops around Israel and in preparation of an attack on Israel. Israeli Generals (being much smarter than the Arab Generals) attacked first thus provoking whiny Arabs to cry to the UN and garner sympathy from idiots like you. What should Israel have done. Let the Arabs attack first and hope the UN😵😵😵🙄 come to its rescue. The Iraelis hit first thus insuring victory and if you had any tactical sense you would figure it out. In 73 the Arabs (who still hadn't learned) attacked Israel and got their asses handed to them. In 82 Israel attacked Lebanon who at the time had the PLO and Syrian troops constantly crossing the border and attacking Israeli settlements and killing their people. What should Israel do? Wait on the UN?😵😵😵🙄 Israel then pulled back thus allowing the UN🙄 mostly US and French troops to act as a buffer. The Arabs in their infinite wisdom instead of being grateful that the UN had gotten the Israeli soldiers off their behinds proceded to kill over 300 Marines in a show of gratitude. I guess in your pollyanna world Israel should ask Mother may I before they protect themselves.

Your statements are all propaganda you've been fed that you uncritically accept hook, line and sinker. The fact remains that Israel attacked first in all cases but 1973. The 1967 excuse is the biggest load; the Egyptians were totally unprepared for war which is one of the reasons they were completely defeated in less than 3 days. Your original statement was untrue and now you resort to distortions and BS.

It's you who have been fed BS hook line sinker and the toilet. Egypt is the only smart one. They finally got tired of their asses gettting kicked and figured it's better to live in peace with Israel. Thats probably why they got the Sanai back.

Your love affair with Israel is most touching; tell it to the wives and children of the 34 American sailors and marines murdered by the Israelis on the USS Liberty during their glorious "defensive" war in 1967. Guess the Israelis "kicked the Liberty's ass", too.

Ribbentrop was one of Hitlers stooges. What claim does he have for self-defence ?

I see that you are unable to respond to the question of "Who or what organisations do the Islamic States support ". Islamic states foreign policy is all about supporting terrorists.

Big difference; those Marines were in another country that was a war zone; you might as well bitch about the Germans killing guys on D-Day. The USS Liberty was in international waters and was a neutral (actually almost a "friendly"😉.
