You wrote that Republicans were in favor of tighter border security. Nothing about their actions supports this statement.

Republicans in Congress have constitutional authority to regulate immigration and they've chosen not to. You blame democrats but it's Republicans who were voted in and have authority to do it. They've had this authority for the bulk of the past 20 years.

Why don't they? Are they incompetent? Why do we keep voting for them?
Comprehensive Immigration Reform seems to be higher on their list of things to do, when Average Joe wants a wall and a total stopping of the invasion. Are they sidetracked instead of dealing with the one issue? To send them back home where they belong to fix their own country??
You got me. I have googled it and no one deals with that direct question. Man, do I hate it. Hell on the horizon. All of them are such wimps and are very compromised. Yes, I have the same question as you do. They are giving away our country. Giving it away. Next you will see signs in Spanish.

Funny, I didn't see a response to my post about the last immigration law to be passed in an election year was NINE YEARS AGO.
So where were your buddies in congress since then? Trump couldn't get it done when he WAS POTUS and OWNED both houses AND the WH.
And about that stupid wall, the wall was shown to be worthless to stop border crossing since a Lowe's sa ...[text shortened]... OT paying for it like your god king said they would. Did you forget THAT statement by your god king?
I believe that a Wall would stop the invasion. We disagree. I don't get your reference to Trump, though, I see you mention his name.

You already posted a link to the wall bill. It's been sitting there all year. Republicans are not interested in it. Why?

Endless criticism. No solutions or accountability. The republican way.

I am saying that, if Mickey Mouse were president, that I believe that if there were a Wall on the border that it would help reduce the southern invasion.
Are you so stupid that you think Trump, or everlasting mentions of his name, has anything to do with the actual nature of a Wall on the border?
You said a wall would not work, Sonhouse. I say it will. Why did you mention Trump? Why did you mention Trump? I have a headache.
Lets try again. do you think a wall is a good idea? why or why not?

CONGRESS REGULATES IMMIGRATION. IF ITS NOT WORKING RIGHT THEN ITS THEIR JOB TO FIX IT.

jeez. Do your jobs! Idiots.

JJ you are an excuse machine.
It's the president's job to enforce the laws congress passes. Congress doesn't have any kind of ability to police the laws they pass, the president does.
Article two of the constitution clearly states it.:
"The president must "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." This clause in the Constitution imposes a duty on the president to enforce the laws of the United States and is called the Take Care Clause, also known as the Faithful Execution Clause or Faithfully Executed Clause. "
Biden has ignored his duty to protect our borders and should be removed from office.
We don't need new immigration laws, we just need the senile old fool to enforce the ones we have.

wildgrass and friends fail to recognize the nuts and bolts..........The president of the country, if he wants to log timber in Yellowstone Park, he would go to the congress and ask them to pass a bill to do so. "Put it on my desk and I will sign it!!" You have heard that phrase, before ........right??
So, it follows that if Biden wants to stop the border crisis, that he would request a bill from Congress. That is how it is done when the President WANTS to do something, why should he wait for some congressman to come up with this brilliant idea.
So, do you wimps want the crisis to end? Then why does not your President, Sleepy Joe, ask Congress to put a bill on his desk? Save America, have your kids go back to normalcy in schools and everywhere else. Jesus Christ. Surely you only pretend to not give a crap.

Hey, Sonhouses of the world, fell free to tie Trump into this scenario , I am dying to see how THAT would read.

I guess that's one way to handle things. Do nothing. Blame biden. Sure. Orrr. Congress could fix it.

What law are you referring to? Dude we have an invasion on our hands. The border is overwhelmed (it has been that way since before Biden) and yet Congress has not passed any regulation to address it for a decade.

Dude.

Joe posted the link. There's a bill to fund the wall. Has not gone anywhere. They don't care.

The system of immigration enforcement is broken. POTUS cannot fix that. It is a Congress problem, but their dang voters are too much like you. Excuse machines.

There are people in the world who just complain, and there are people who do stuff. Republicans are the wrong kind of people.

Xiden has asked Congress, multiple times. They want to whine about the problem, not fix the problems.

From 2000-2020, as everyone recognizes how immigration was getting worse and worse and worse, we had 12 years of republican presidencies.

What did they do to fix it?

I think it goes deeper than what they want. I think they just don't give a rats ass about common folk and only interested in how much power they can suck out of the system, as taught by Trump.

It would be way above your paygrade to do something that solves the root problem, gangs in those countries with their citizens seeking asylum, helping out with those countries financial problems would go a long way to slow down the rush to our border but that would be above the ability of magites to even contemplate much less give them a penny.

The question isnt whether or not you care, it's why Republicans don't care.
