I don't believe their claims of having over 31,000 scientists sign their petition, or the scientific claims they make. There's no references to peer-reviewed journals, for example.

Environmental concerns were considered a nonpartisan scientific issue prior to Reagan's administration. Republican presidents Ford and Nixon both took them seriously.
