I'm speechless. Completely and utterly. The sexism is just so... unbelievable.
Maybe silver fern is very sexy and has a massively large [cucumber] and women rape him the second he gets aroused. He just doesn't understand that we aren't all that lucky.

Or, if she's a girl, maybe she's a nympho with no self control.

If a woman in her thirties was standing face to face with a 16 year old boy, could she shoot? Would she hesitate thinking "he's only a boy?" Would her maternal instints take over?

Happy debating, bambee
I wouldn't know if they make good soldiers or not...

But, when I was living in Israel there were women soldiers all around the place. In tight fitting uniforms and sexy black hair; generally pinned back in pony tails and such, with lovely tans....carrying machine guns around with them...

Oh yes. They were happy days indeed.
Funnily enough an old Iron Maiden song springs to mind (and it's very rare the occasion that my mind should be infested by such crap, to be sure):

ALL TOGETHER:

WOMEN IN UNIFORM...SOMETIMES THEY LOOK SO STRONG LA DIE LAAA DIE LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Funny thing is, if I lived in such a situation were women were like you descriped in that given war like country, I wouldn't know if I should be happy or scared shiatless. I'm pretty sure you felt a bit of both, my d*** would probably be happy, but my brain would be scared, hence the major conflict in an internal man's life, beteewn his d*** and his brain, it would drive me just mad.

So basicly she shot down 12 German incoming bugoys before finally going down. A martyr story if I ever saw one. . .

I'd like to believe it is wrong to send woman to war. I guess it's a sense of chivalry. I'd like to believe in war, one maintains a certain code of ethics. Do not harm women or children.

Should you look at the war in Iraq for example, if US soldiers know Iraqi woman and children were also shooting the guns, that would imply everytime they enter a house or bunker, they would have to consider the woman and children as possible threats. The shouts of women may not deter them from throwing down a grenade into a bunker.

Ofcourse in WWII, the woman and children would have been murdered should the men lose the war, as such it makes sense to get everyone to fight, however in wars over political ideologies, I would venture it be beneficial to both parties, should only men engage in battle. Afterall, someone actually has to look after the children should the men be killed.

20 million Russians were killed in WWII. I don't think chivalry was high on their list of priorities.

I didn't claim it was. I did specify that they had little choice in the matter.

Where choice in an option however, it seems it would benefit both sides (as in the Iraqi war) if only men engaged in war. Neither US, nor Iraqi soldiers, want to see Iraqi woman and children killed.

Shouldnt you ask the women instead of just believeing its wrong? I happen to know three women who are in the army. Is that wrong?

Chivalry and war dont go together, if you kill a womens husband, her loved one or her daughter/son how is that chivalry?

what are wemen?

on the topic of the debate, i agree society does endow women with the mother angelic tradition however society also gives women the unrealistic ideals of barbie to live up to so it isn't all plain sailing.

and doesn't the fact that they are always playing the victim tell you something about the way they are constructed throgh society to think of themselves as second class citizens and that they need saving.

people are people and we are all capable of anything it just atkes the right set of circumstances.

I'd like to believe no one should be sent to war. But maybe that's just me.
