First day on the job, Infinera corp. Assembly and test of 800 Gigabit/second optical fiber server boxes, very good company, near 28 and hour. Very diverse, the zombies here would hate it.
The folks here are very friendly and supportive.
So have fun destroying democracy in the US.

I myself will (cordially)bet that you will post as usual. We both require a foil.

Good luck. My hat is off to you for staying in the game. You must be good at what you do.

I suggest you avoid taking politics at the office.

And they WILL be the same till that fukker Trump is out of the way, not in charge of the former republican party and all the wannabies are kicked out of office and sanity resumes, some form of sanity anyway, in our government, you remember the part where dems and repubs wrote bills and they fought over them tooth and nail and some compromise was reached where both parties knew that bill had to be passed and both were not fully satisfied but the agreed on the bill was passed and signed by POTUS into law? Remember those LONG GONE days?
That comes back and I will gladly go to my porch and plunk on my guitar with my buddies. Till then, forget friendly.

Also, don't count on me kicking the bucket anytime soon, I may be 80 but it looks like I will be around for another 20 or so, several grandparents and my mom lived to 100+, so sorry I won't be leaving anytime soon. I am on ZERO meds BTW, BP, pulse, and most of the rest more like a 40 yo.

Didn't you live in PA? Did you move to San Jose, get a job on the Allentown office or are just working remotely? None of my business of course, but just curious.

I gather you didn't hear Moscow Mitch say 'I am the grim reaper'? No, you would not have heard THAT one on Gab or Newsmax or BretFART or Faux news.
Can you even understand what that meant?

Thanks, the HR department recognized my talents. I have always said, for instance, if we live average to 100, maybe a hundred years from now if we still HAVE a civilization then, that might happen but if you are healthy at 80 why not have a job?

What, you think there are no manufacturing plants in Allentown Pa?
Check out Infinera, they have plants around the world. I just saw an ad for an optical box from them putting out 1.5 TERAbits per second. Mind frigging blowing.
I was at day one of a new company back in the day, called Inplane photonics and we were happy as pigs in poop if we could get TWENTY GIGABITS per second with our optical modulators.
The one I assemble and test has about 30 RF inputs and the cable which is called coax, which is a cable within a cable, an insulator, a conductive shield, another insulator, and another inner conductor, like what you get with sat dish cables or internet cables, but those are like a quarter inch in diameter or so, these dam things are thinner than angle hair spaghetti but capable of conducting high frequency RF.
I never saw such tiny coax before. And I am an RF dude.
