What I didn't particularly agree with is the Americans changing the accepted spelling of sulfur (ex. sulphur). I don't understand how that would be beneficial, and changing phone to fone wouldn't.

xtal is a ligitimate part of the "morris code".

He included it because it was too time consuming to type out the word Chrystal in each message send.

The "xtal set society" is one of the largest radio clubs in the world. I used to do that as one of my hobbies. Long ago. Far away. In a galaxie where Chrystals power space craft and have magic in em'.
