@averagejoe1 saidIt was simple English, Joe. No scholarships means only rich kids, and not enough smart rich kids are on offer, so?

@kewpie saidAs with welfare the more the goobermint takes on the role of brainwasher in chief so genuine noble benevolence wanes. Students who were once aware of the generosity of private institutions and individuals and motivated by that now see it as an obligation for others to provide for their education thus valuing it less.

A lose/lose every which way you look.

@wajoma saidFirst you speak of a "brainwasher in chief", and then, in nearly the same breath, you speak of "the generosity of private institutions". Your self-awareness is strikingly limited by the ignorance of your own opinions.

@wajoma saidGiving scholarships to gifted but poor young people has nothing to do with what being tought on the courses, it simply rankles your pathological misanthropy.

@kewpie saidSorry, I didn't understand the point, cudda just said this first.

So, yes, without these many millions, universities will naturally cut back, and indeed, scholarships, for those not-rich kids, may not be so available.
So, this BTW is a great example of why you fellers should not bash the rich so much. They will be missed......by those who look to them as benefactors.
Y'all best be careful what you wish for.

@kewpie saidI just read this again, I still dont get what you mean, but I hope my answer makes sense to you. No money, no scholarships.......for the un-rich kids.
I guess filling the universities with stupid entitled rich kids must be a great idea for American civilisation.
So your post here is saying that without scholarships, only entitled rich kids will be in the colleges? Well, yes. So what is the point of your post? You simply state the obvious.
