@techsouth saidSchumer's elected, man. You know the deal there.
Kavanaugh has a lifetime appointment to the SC.
Schumer was NOT threating that he would pay a price at the polls. Kavanaugh has no reelection bid in his lifetime. Try again.
And he was talking about abortion, something that has just now come up in the SC. So even though his threat was a while ago, it is just now coming to fruition. Schumer's threat is exactly what ...[text shortened]... loud and clear. The Democrats had a chance to support a bill to protect judges, but they declined.
Republican platform: Protect the judges, sacrifice the children.

@wildgrass saidYeah, Schumer is elected. Did you somehow miss the fact that I was asserting that Kavanaugh is the one who is NOT elected and will never have a reelection. Schumer suggested that Kavanaugh would reap a whirlwind. The nature of that threat has nothing to do with a Kavanaugh reelection.

It is the Republican platform to protect the judges. Why can't we do that even if we don't agree on the best plan to protect children.
@techsouth saidWhat like trumps base agreed to protect the election officials and vote counters even though they didn’t like the result of the election.

As an outside observer nothing has confirmed the partisan nature of the SCOTUS than the republicans disregard for the accepted norms concerning their appointment and the extreme nature of those they shoehorned onto the benches for the sole purpose of bending it to the will of an extreme religious minority and those politicians that crave that base.
@techsouth saidThe judges are well protected.

What makes you say that judges
are especially vulnerable?

And what vote counters were not protected? Who was even threatened?

@jimm619 saidThey have protestors in front of there house, even though they may have children living there.
The judges are well protected.
What makes you say that judges

Are you okay with that being the price any SC judge has to accept from now on?
Keep in mind, this is already against the law. But Democrats don't care since the judges are conservative. It's all part of the brown shirt tactics.
@techsouth saidIf laws are broken, arrest the offenders.

The cops , on the scene, are in
charge of this, not The Democratic Party.
A protest is, most usually, a legal exercise
protected by The Constitution.
....Brown shirt tactics?....You been watchin' too many JAN/6th vids.

@techsouth saidIn reality, the Republicans have no platform whatsoever. Protect the judges, lol? They're fine. Are you in the group that thinks Scalia was murdered for writing the majority opinion that the 2nd amendment is not unlimited. He wrote that "the [2nd amendment] right is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever..."
Yeah, Schumer is elected. Did you somehow miss the fact that I was asserting that Kavanaugh is the one who is NOT elected and will never have a reelection. Schumer suggested that Kavanaugh would reap a whirlwind. The nature of that threat has nothing to do with a Kavanaugh reelection.

The current court is far more right wing than Scalia was, and he was a staunch, far right conservative at the time, and that time was not that long ago.

@wildgrass
True....And, right now Justice Thomas has
A SERIOUS problem with his wife's conflict of interest.
@woofwoof saidIt is a word that libs use to describe a fetus. I was using it to be sure you would get my point. You didn't. Anyway, you libs have called unborn children blobs, so all you do here is confirm that the world of libs considered that the children, killed in the school, were once blobs.
"Blob"?
You mean like the "blobs" that were once children, laying on an elementary schoolroom floor?
Republicants are unable to keep their hypocrisies straight.
A REALLY losing post. Hey, Shav, I am racking up wins left and right!
@averagejoe1 saidPotential children. Like potential energy. A bullet in a gun that hasn't yet fired and might never. Should the federal government force you to shoot that gun? Maybe you disagree with word choice but potential children are definitely not to be confused with a real person.

@wildgrass saidI have no idea what you are writing about, but I find it ironic (a Suzy word) that you say 'the federal government force...". Liberals, ala the federal government, are into forcing people to do their bidding. I fear (yes, Suzy) the govt, and their taking away freedoms and liberty, and if I may say as AvJoe, our STUFF! Couldn't read past that phrase, sorry....you were on about the children, but when you libs write about the government, our train of thoughs go out the window.

@averagejoe1 saidYour train of thought goes out the window? why? you like telling people how to live their lives? Forcing childbirth?

@wildgrass saidWildgrass, you seem like a stand-up guy. You are a member of society which is a little light on respect for human life, though. AND, a society which does not find life more meaningful as do Conservatives. These findings are the result of many different studies. Here is a link and I think I will throw it out there this Sunday morning for general consumption.

@techsouth saidSo you support violence against school children.
So you support violence against judges.
How many judges were killed in the USA in the last decade? How many school children quite literally had their heads shot off?
