Let's assume the story is true and Lanny Davis is a registered foreign agent for a sleazy Ukrainian linked to Putin.
Point? He's a lawyer, he probably has a lot of sleazy clients. He is registered as the guy's agent (so he is in compliance with US law) and there isn't any allegation he avoided taxes on any fees paid him by the guy.
So where is the "there" there?

You're not the messenger.
You're the little barking dog when the postman arrives.

Why is the pro-russian oligarch wanted by the US government?
• Wanted for what?
• And how is he linked to Putin?

Try not to continually show your ignorance, else you will lose what little credibility you have left.

So long as his paperwork is in order (always crosses his t's and dot's his i's) Lanny Davis is simply a functionary. No more, and no less.
And you are here playing the role of defense attorney... no more, and no less.
I'm used to seeing knee jerk responses and 'arguments' mostly designed to play on emotions, but the reaction to the OP here has piqued my interest. Given all of the hype over 'percieved' Russian collusion you seem somewhat blasé and disinterested... in an attorney's involvement with a sleazy pro-Russian oligarch... linked to Putin... and wanted by the US... for...?
You guys could not have come up with a better tease than if you were actually trying to gin up interest in (and focus on) this subject. LoL

The documents filed Tuesday allege that Firtash and Knopp sought "to introduce millions of pounds of illegally obtained goods into the United States" in an alleged scheme involving bribing public officials in India to obtain titanium.

Davis' firm, which includes Dan Webb a DOJ special prosecutor under Nixon and Ford, is defending him on those charges. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2017/10/16/ukraines-most-wanted-oligarch-dmitry-firtash/#d5895291ba5e
