Why would US embassies being the only targets point to it being the US that’s doing the targeting.
If you wanted to test a weapons viability you would test it against what is likely to be the best protected target and the target whose disfunction would produce the greatest benefit to an adversary.
For me the whole thing is a bit too ‘Jewish space lasers’ perhaps Smirsch is behind it.
