@suzianne saidAustralians don't need to be educated on voting, but the kids get taught about the importance of civic participation anyway. It's just seen as a normal part of life like driving or drinking alcohol. Political rallies aren't common and probably wouldn't attract as many people as a local football game.
Ah, ok. I'm not against it, as I think it would raise social awareness of voting, but Australians probably don't need that. 18 does seem best for most everything.
In America, the last thing we need is more immature voters. Most Americans aren't ready to make their own decisions at 16. Some are, yes, but very few.
@kewpie saidLearning about politics, I think, is something that should come early - discussions at home with family and relatives, among friends perhaps and at school too. If we don't know what politics is and how society works, 18 may still be an early age to vote.

3. When boastful and unkind powerful people are brought low by consequences of their own making.

@very-rusty saidYou two who gave the thumbs down did you notice how when Trump was in the lead he tried to stop the vote counting?...Never seen nothing like that in my lifetime. Why did he do that, was scared of the mail in votes that hadn't been counted yet! 😉 Appear now that was exactly the reason....He loses he will go out kicking and screaming, which would be a joy in my heart would be all 5 things in one big event.
I couldn't believe all the red across the country. That did surprise me. It appears we have a divided America to me?
