I see there have been no major renovations, or even standard weed management, around these parts.

I would appreciate pictures on your next tour of duty though! Does the group you work with have a name they call themselves? I believe most of these groups do.
This should give you heart, Rusty. Recently, a local comedy TV show got in trouble because they did a skit about dying children on the Make-A-Wish program. A lot of people without a sense of humour reacted and got the show suspended, people lost their jobs over it. No doubt, to someone tirelessly conbating the forces of darkness, such as yourself, this will come as good news:

@ http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,25585377-5001021,00.html

------
MAKE-A-Wish has savaged ABC's The Chaser for a sketch making dying children the butt of a sick joke.

The foundation says the Chaser's `Make a Realistic Wish Foundation' skit could potentially traumatise families already affected by life-threatening illnesses to their children.

"One of the first things we were upset about was that a lot of our families and children would have been watching that," Make-A-Wish communications general manager Janita Friend says.

Ms Friend is also deeply concerned that the skit portrays children wanting wishes as greedy and says it could stop parents applying to Make-A-Wish for wishes.

"Some families will go oh my goodness, people will think I'm being greedy (applying for a wish)," she says.

"In the sketch, Chaser members Andrew Hansen and Chris Taylor asked actors playing bed-ridden children what they wish for.

When one little girl asks to meet Hollywood actor Zac Efron, she is handed a stick and Taylor says why go to any trouble when they're going to die anyway.

"They (Chaser) haven't understood the reason behind why a wish is granted," Ms Friend said.

"Our mission is to grant wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions, not all of them pass away.

"We don't ever like to say it's a dying wish but that's really the message the Chaser were putting across which is really incorrect and unfair."

Another child whose wish is to go to Disneyland is handed a stick instead.

"It is interesting that they used the Disneyland example (as being unrealistic) because we do send lots of children to Disneyland," Ms Friend says.

"We also have a lot of children who wish for very simple things like a party. Little children wish for puppies and cubby houses."

"Enclosed attachment provides the listing of Arrivals for July. Please note italicized names: Chess players all, one from Gameknot and two from Red Hot

Pawn. Possible the two from RHP are one and the same (all three may even be the same lost soul). Prepare for three anyway. Benefit of doubt as usual."

Whew! Damn hot down here. Found this in an old suitcase the other night. Just something I composed about fifty years ago back in Bedford Falls. Enjoy.

"Fear on Parade"

Quite simply, fear (worry, anxiety) is a powerful emotional reaction. It is antithetical to courage and has zero ability to concentrate or reason or think.

The more you surrender to fear, the greater your capacity for fear. The greater its power, the greater your chances of being a loser and failure in life.

So let's strike up the marching bands! Several traditional (maybe even universal) 'fear floats' are already in position at the front of our parade...

* Fear of being found out.

* Fear of punishment.

* Fear of dying and death.

* Fear of the unknown.

...............

* Fear of blindspots (mine).

Whisper From the Big Guy Upstairs to Skeeter

Yes, Doll, you got it right... 'Jesus wept'. My beloved Son (during His brief thirty three year purposeful descent into flesh) also turned water into wine

(which reduced Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1947 to kool aid) and kicked the sorry ar$es of the greedy and their tables down the steps of the temple.
