Cancer's more common because other deaths are less common. Medicine has less power over cancer than over other diseases.

I'm allergic to cats.

Also, stop putting private forum crap in the public forums... Dick.

Also, back in the days of dial up to yer local bbs, it wasn't known as "'leet", it just was. Youngster. If you've never telnet'd to a chat room you may take your attitude and stick it. I'll leave you decide where.

Beans are optional I think, but always welcome.

Talking of trotters, I have the back legs of a pig in my freezer.

Wow! Stoned, drunk, or just having reading problems tonight? I've not posted private forum stuff to public forums (and you didn't need to sign that part). I'm a youngster to Grampy but definitely not to you. And this is the first I've heard that what is now called leet was used in the old bbs days. You could have simply said that, and it would have made sense, without saying a bunch of inaccurate things to fill space.

edit: And it's true -- I do have two cats because my sister lives in Phoenix.

This morning I went into the Peak District, to Castleton with some friends, popped into a lovely caffe, had some nice cups of tea, enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast. Then we had a nice walk up Mam Tor, took some nice pictures of the lovely views, but laughing about how the road there had collapsed a lot. Whilst driving on the way back, we stopped off at a pub and had a pint.

Stereotypical, huh? 😕
but you didnt watch a game of cricket on the village green

He also has a point, though. For example, almost all men will eventually have prostate cancer if they live long enough.

But, like you said, this makes such lifestyle concerns even more important.

I think moderation plus an active lifestyle is the key to good health. In the 70s and 80s red meat, alcohol, chocolate, butter, shrimp, coffee, were all considered bad for your health. In the 90s and today, scientists have changed their minds and recommend eating/drinking moderate quantities of all these to ensure good health.
