-Removed-There were players from 21 Countries and territories outside of the United States on the active and inactive (injured) rosters represented at the 2019 World Series. I suppose that makes 21 or 22 total, depending on how Puerto Rico is classified. The internet sources don't report this very clearly or consistently.
From a national perspective, I think the World Baseball Classic is probably a better focus, where every time it seems the Japanese are the team to beat.

Japan doesn't have a team who plays in the world series or to my knowledge have they ever had one. Why don't they put a team together and play in the league...See how they would fair out playing the same amount of games involved in the "REAL WORLD SERIES"!!!! ? Perhaps it would be too grueling for them? A short series is easier to win no matter what the sport. Key players can be injured, many things can happen during a season. The Team considered to be the best doesn't always win because of this factor. The 1972 series in Hockey which the Russians should have won they didn't by one goal, if you know your Hockey you know who won it and who got the winning goal. 😉 The team who won were the favourites going in, but no thought it would be as close as it ended up being.
