On the original subject, my grandparents are losing their vision, but still insist on having a garden. They invite us over for dinner quite often. It turns out that they really can't see the things that are crawling around on their vegetables. Perhaps the weirdest thing I've eaten was the unidentified critters in their spinach. 😕
