Can anyone recommend Absinthe? I've never had the pleasure but am considering buying some.

Is it similar in any way to Ouzo or completely different? Ouzo I know.
I've thought about checking it out but the price tag is up there. 😕

Drink Corona, best beer in the whole world.
Would you recommend it in Mexico itself or are there better regional beers down there?

You need to visit Cancún, lie down on its gorgeous beach and tan a little bit surrounded by beautiful girls. Then you sip some Coronas. Then you party around a bonfire, still surrounded by beautiful women and drink some more Corona. Then you go to your room with a couple of the girls, drink more Corona and get jiggy, and wake up in the morning to sip more Cor ...[text shortened]... ll 2 weeks.

If after that you don't think Corona is the best beer in the world, you're gay.

There are much, much better Mexican beers...

Like Pacifico for example.

Absinthe is vile tasting. If you want something good and 70% strong, get some home-made palinca.

The store-bought stuff (in the U.S.) isn't the same drink enjoyed by Van Gogh, Hemingway...etc., but it's not bad. I don't think they use wormwood in the recipe. It does taste pretty much like Ouzo. Warm and smooth going down. In the end though, the effect is the same as vodka or any other hard liquor. Don't expect any spiritual experiences.
