Originally posted by Grampy BobbyMmmm..., yes, now that I think back, I seem to recall seeing something very much like that amongst the youth of the period. "Left fist" they called it. I rather gathered at the time that it was an expression of solidarity, instead of the boisterousness you describe, but I might be mistaken.
Punches = clenched fists. Just a little old fashioned, over exuberant
camaraderie. You're a bright guy, Mark. Certainly you jest. 🙂
I remember it like it was yesterday...dear Julie, Pete and Linc, sitting around the malt-shop in their annoyingly broad-lapeled paisley garments, listening to The Fleetwoods and plotting bank-heists with the callow naivete of youth. And that annoying, orange-haired fellow, Ralph. I understand he was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army and now lives in a shanty in the wilds of Columbia. But that is neither here nor there.
Youths of comparable age did much the same thing in an earlier generation, only then they drank their malts at the corner drugstore, and the bank-robberies plotted were in imitation of Messrs. Dillinger and Pierpoint, not in support of revolution. The more things change, the more they stay the same. I wonder where they drink malts today, and what will-o-the-wisp fancy of the times motivates their bank-robbery plans?

Certainly not! Why the capital 'f' ? 🙁

Kind of a Tom Bombadil figure, as I conceive of him.
My idea of a good joke is to steal a Thoth deck (not shown) and paste the graphic from a Coppertone Girl label on the 0 card before repackaging it and returning it to the occult bookstore from which it has been borrowed.

Answer me this...
Once upon a time guys would invariably hang out on street corners, kid around like Fonzie, trade a few leather jacket punches
and unabashedly whistle at gals... whhhietT whhooOOOoooo!!! Nowadays, 'Man, is she hot' or 'Wow, she's totally cool' private
exchanges seem to have replaced this 'old gang of mine' rite of passage/bold behavior of days of yore. This a good thing?
