I don't get much time to make my chess moves, so I was thinking about getting a tablet to make them on when I've got a minute. Anyone here use one? Would I be able to message in the box or would it jump around?

This is the cheapest one I as thinking of getting....

Hi Yo,

I have played on an iPad 2 and a Surface RT. Both work just fine. I prefer the Surface, but then I'm probably biased as I work for Microsoft. I think you'll do well with any tablet that has a modern browser. (I've successfully played on various Windows phones as well.)

Pass and move or move move move. It's the only way forward.

It's a little more difficult doing messaging because of the limited keyboard, but it's OK.

They should make a way to play chess without any computer involvement. I dunno maybe a set made of wood or plastic. 😕

Say that sounds like a good idea. Are you going to be issuing an IPO?

I was walking past car phone warehouse today and they a special offer on. Sign up with Orange for £11.99 per month (24 month contract) and get Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Fame phone free. For the £11.99 you get unlimited texts, 250MB of data and 500 free minutes.

Considering I was thinking of moving to Orange anyway, wanted a tablet and was already paying £10 per month anyway on pay as you go, I think it was bargain of the year.

Worth a look.

I play and browse this site on as tablet. It works fine, but I don't recommend it for live games, like blitz.
