Do you consider yourself to have been rude in this forum?
Do you think rudeness is necessary to get your way? π²
No its not, tho it could be usefull to be rude for argument sake (and by that i dont mean calling ppl names)

Yes.
No, but the reactions it creates are entertaining.
Post for reaction, just to see?
As you well know, I have been rude on various occasions - dramatic, abusive, down right vulgar. Is it for reaction? I think so; the shock tactics.... we post for reaction most of the time.
Are some people here just downright rude without thinking or knowing about it?
Edit: And yes, most of it is for entertainment, I believe.
Being rude is just a childish and powerless way of expressing disdain.
It takes intelligence and style with a little subtlety to make a point and keep lines of communication open.
If we had a rudeness meter and a power meter available in front of our minds, just like a speedometer and a gas gauge, we would see that every time we are rude we are going very slow and on empty.
Every time we are polite, and communicate with a little dignity and nuance, we would see that we are traveling very fast and with a full tank.
The world would be a better place. Humanity would have evolved far beyond our sorry state of conflict and crisis that we have today.
The point? We can't change the way the world is, but we can change ourselves. Just think about those two meters in our heads as we get ready to say something.
