This is how I did it ...
I used a few old greasemonkey scripts and an old AI I'd been working on. I rigged up a web-cam to Will Self's laptop and digitised the output to a mpeg stream. Then this was relayed to a server in Balaruse where the stream was analysed and for pixel density and colour tones. A database of pixel mappings was then created and uploaded to the artpad system (took a bit of hacking) where a complex array mapping was made of functional vector calls to pixel bitmap inputs.
The rest was simply a matter of building a robot to work the mouse on my PC while the co-ordinates of the database were fed in by hand (I was running out of time, so had to do this bit manually - you'll notice that the right ear is a bit weird - I made some typo's).
