Originally posted by rbmorrisYes, same here. I guess the search bar could be adjusted so that it would do the things I want again, but it was easier to simply switch back to the old one.
I like it a lot. The only thing I didn't like was what it did to my little search bar in the upper right-hand corner of my screen. Fortunately, they allow you to switch that back to the old style.
Originally posted by rbmorrisMy installation defaulted with the Hyperwords' toolbar disabled.

This is a handy addon to resize the searchbar boxes starting small, and growing as to the number of letters entered.

If you don't like what it does to your search engine textbox, then you can customise your toolbars, and put the hyperwords one somewhere else (I have it to the right of help).

does anyone else have a problem when they highlight a url then click go...to link, and they have a 404 error 'cause there is a "http://www.http.com//" at the start. i have no idea where it comes from.
for example, i got http://www.http.com//www.lib.utk.edu/writersinthelibrary when i highlighted http://www.lib.utk.edu/writersinthelibrary/
Originally posted by geniusI just tried it, and it works fine for me. But it seems like a far too complicated way to go to a link anyway, why don't you use Linkification?

This addon is also brilliant for searching these forums.
Type a couple of keywords into the Hyperwords SearchBar, then click to search, sites, this site, and it automagically fills out the google advanced search for you to only return results from www.timeforchess (The built-in search facility always returns redhotpawn results. Hyperwords returns results from your particular brand).
You can also go to the second page of the search results which doesn't work in the built in function.
This is definitely the most useful addon I've ever installed.
[EDIT] 1 thing I have noticed is that you get better search results using redhotpawn over the derivatives, especially for older posts.
