8 years of George Bush and conservative Republican tyranny. This decade might start well, Rush was rushed to the hospital, maybe that fat a&*wipe will die.

4. That since the turn of the decade the western world has uniformly accelerated its pitiful slide down the twin slopes of political correctness and universal appeasement, pedal to the metal at any cost. 5. tell us a story from your childhood, Grampy (the first one), about how the Union and Confederate soldiers were perfectly civil to each other even as they mowed each other down at Shiloh and Chancellorsville.

that's why they called it 'The Civil War'.😏

Y2K was the beginning of the decade, of a new century, remember when everyone got uptight about their computer clocks? Now lets count to ten, one decade has just ended since then.

Am I clear, or do i have to explain it again simpler? Moron.

little question - there was a year 1BC and a year called 1 AD but what was the year inbetween called? Did it exist? Did we have a year 0?

(related to the decades question)

Both annotations refer to the alleged birth date of Christ; so you have 1BC then Christ's birth date in 1AD

Interesting question, Silverstriker...
Though I appreciate your courteous deference to the evolved conversation, must remind you that this broad guaged topic thread belongs to my on again/off again perhaps friend, Deaf Hecate.

13. That since the inexplicable justice of the street (as in Main Street of the Universe) always keeps

the ancient ledger right, individuals and national entities once again are receiving what they deserve.

No year 0, but a "decade" as we know it doesn't necessarily proceed from 1 to 10.
The Twenties ran from 1920 to 1929, and did not, by any definition, include 1930.
The Fifties arrived in 1950 and ended in 1959. And so forth.

Happy new decade.
