In a clan does every individual play their own game or is each game a group effort with strategies discussed via messaging among each clan member?
Originally posted by bigtom1NO, no, no! Individual, clan, and tournament games at RHP are each player for themselves. If you get any help from another player for an active game, BOTH of you could be banned from the RHP site. At the bottom of each page is a link "Terms of Service", please read it.

Originally posted by bigtom1- It's an easy way to get games against players with a somewhat similar playing strength (assuming that your clan leader does a good job)
so what is the benefit of a clan. If everyone plays their own game and can't strategize with each other isn't that just like playing on your own?
- The fact that your games count not only for yourself, but also for your clan can be motivating, and clan rivalry can be fun
- You get access to a clan forum. How beneficial that is (and in what way) will depend on the clan. It might help you with your chess, or it might provide you with interesting discussions about a common interest, or it might be a place to talk among friends.
