Absolute power requires no apology?
Hey Russ/Chris how about changing the moderation process. I am sure well intentioned people such as Marc, are being suspected because posts are deleted in such a secretive manner.Make it open and above board and there will be no problem. Either a post deserves to be deleted or it doesn't. So explaing why it was re ...[text shortened]... ved and by whom will damage no-one, just stop bad feeling
we are all on the same side

I can understand someone being confused by why a post was hidden, but usually the reasons for hiding a post are for the good of the whole site.

wife beaters and junkies amongst other non-desirableshow many wife beaters or junkies have you known? This isn't meant as a dig at you, but it's a pet hate of mine - that people take one faccet (sp?) of a persons life & then ignore all the rest of what they are.
Sure, being a junky is not good, and hitting your wife (or husband!) is a terrible thing to do, and although many people who are/do these things are inherantly nasty, that's not true of most of these people whos lives are screwed up (admitadly, often through their own fault) and are lashing out or trying to find a way out or a release (that to any rational outsider is obviously self destructive).

Isn't there a saying, "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?"
I'm sure there are PLENTY of those in this community who are have skeletons a' lurkin' in the shadows...isn't that one of the draws of participating in an internet setting? The fact that NO ONE knows who you truly are?
