The game date (i'm not sure if that means finishing, i'm guessing it does) says it finished on Feb 11th 2007, and he was rated 968 at the time, you were 12something
Howanever, well done, and well done at being 200 points higher than your chess teacher....do you use opening books ?

I live 1 mile from Venice Beach
and there is this old man
who will play chess against you.
5 dollars a game.
Last summer he beat me 33 times.
He records all the games in a little book.
I finally played to a draw last week.
He told me that I was the first person to get a draw
in over 4 years.
I don't know if I believe him.
He plays all day at the beach. Kind of crazy.
His name is Walter Browne.
Originally posted by inthegreenroomIf it was the Walter Browne that was a GM from California, you would have been lucky to stay on the board with him. I would also question why you plunked down $5.00 - 33 times to play him. Did he give you half of your money back for the draw?

Originally posted by shortcircuitIt's not "the" Walter Brown unless he is a Catholic and he thought it was time to give alms. 1300 players do not draw with GMs.
