I would add that chess is to you whatever you think it is for you (wow am getting philosophical here). What I mean with is that for some people it is their life or their job in case of many GM's making a living out of it. For other is just a game to kill some time...
For me it is always surprising. I have been playing chess for almost 20 years now (quite regular as well) and my current game against Pyrrho is something I have never seen before
(Feel free to take a look but please do not post any suggestions to either side...)
Anyone taking a closer look will realise that throughout the game, I was in (what I thought) a very comfortable position (especially after move 22) and somehow Jarno not only got out of it but seemed to have turned it round (Compliment here to Jarno :-). I don't try to indicate that this is a novelty per se, but has anyone ever been in an endgame against a queen and a bishop with a rock and four pawns left ...
That is what makes chess so damn interesting to me...
