Maybe not a film, but available on DVD: Series 1 of Northern Exposure

It's very gentle and subtle humour, and it's just the best thing out on DVD. Also, I'm trying to get more people to buy it in the hope that they release the other series', which for some inexplicable reason they haven't as yet 😳

All these lack substance and so must be funny...
