EDIT AGAIN: Sci-Fi is my genre of choice BTW...

BTW I'm still busy putting together RedHotPlus.com. I have lots of contract work going on, so I'm quite busy, but once I get it going, you guys can use the site for this purpose, if you want

Thanks for the offers. I was thinking of just getting people to throw stuff up on blogs, like I have, but now that you mention it, a central place to bring us all together would be great.

Hi writers!

it sound very interesting, I am glad to see a people sharing the same interest. I personaly love to read SF and fantasy and I wrote some ideas, drafts and parts of posible stories, even novels. The most are about Varla, a female worior, and I find boys love this kind of "masculine" female heroes more then girls. 😕 However, those are plans for a future. Today, I am to preocupied with studies, sports, my bf 🙂 etc.

My personal hero in SF is Milles Vorkosigan, and I love Lois McMaster Bujold. She is a great writer. Her style looks so simple and easy, but I tried and I find it is true what my dad taught me: u need to be realy good to be simple! 🙂 Einstein's theory of relativity is also simple. 😵

Unfortunately, as u can see, english is not my native language, I am from a small country.

EDIT: Oh, and Angie88, home language is fine too (German is it not?)
ok I'd post it... but actually it went into the property of the "Land Baden-Württemberg" as I sent it in for a writing competition, so please respect copyright here too... I dunno if it's copyrighted or not 😉, but I wouldn't wanna get in trouble 😛

I'm reasonably sure that if you wrote it, you own it, no matter where it was published. I could be wrong though, so don't take my word for it.

I've been trying to get ideas out of my head and onto paper for a while now to varying levels of success. I have several novels and a couple of short stories floating around in there and finally some of them are starting to come together.

So, I wondered if anyone was interested ...[text shortened]... ailable for reviewing each other's work, providing encouragement, support, ideas, advice and so on.
Sounds like fun. I have just about finished editing my first novel, but as it is a Christian one I hardly think I would fit in. If I am wrong, please correct me. 😀

Okay, I still haven't got anything more finished, but I have discovered a very useful website, that I would recommend that anyone who is serious about writing take a look at.

It's at http://fmwriters.com/index.html

It was set up by a woman named Holly Lisle who took up professional writing some years ago, and decided she wanted to help out others who want to do the same.
It's full of useful tips and stuff, including a free download of her book "Mugging the Muse, Writing For Love and Money", that gives brilliant advice on every aspect of writing, from getting started, all the way up to finding agents and publishers.
