Cotton Picker and Rice Picker are derogatory terms, when not used properly.
Case in point:
Scribs assumes Darve should wear a rice picker, not a baseball hat based on him being Asian. That's racist.
You see a person wearing a do rag and tell them, "Nice Cotton Picker!" Just because they wear this fashion doesn't make them a cotton picker. Most black slaves in the US spent their day picking cotton, and it became a derogatory term used for anyone of black color that still exists today.

I'm amused by the fact that the person (RN) which is always trying to get people to be "nice" and to "respect" one another is the only one in this thread to have a post moderated.
