I just don't want to lose my stats I have taken years to acquire.
Some people have issues with the 'Very Rusty', saying I don't seem to be very rusty to them.
According to Russ your username now being used would stay up a month anyway so people would know who you were who frequent the forums. It is not to hide, it is that people believe I am being dishonest by calling myself "Very Rusty", which isn't the intent and it was back in 2006 after not playing for decade or more. I just want to make sure I am not going to lose my stats or it wouldn't be worth doing.
BTW: A poll wouldn't matter to me one way or the other how it turned out, I would still do what I decide to do.

I can see how people who were new to the site could think I was trying to be misleading with the name "Very Rusty"! Not that my rating is that great to begin with.
