@lemondrop saidI'd like to suggest a nice walk in a snowstorm where you can't see your hand if you extend it, that will get you real focused in a hurry!
I can't run anymore but I love walking in bad weather
it focuses the mind
a form of meditation

@very-rusty saidWe don't really get snow as the Gulf Stream terminates in Liverpool Bay. Sounds like bad weather walking means serious bad weather walking for you?

the most intense walk I've ever taken was during a hail storm
it was beautiful
totally focused and exhilarating

Great to return home, enjoy a big snack and take a guilt free doze in front of the TV.

@drewnogal saidI remember orienteering high up in the lake district as a kid when it started to hail and the wind blew it horizontal. I was running directly into the wind. I remember it was really exhilarating.

@very-rusty saidNo extremes of weather at all. I think it's down to the warm current in the sea. An extreme winter is a fine covering of snow for a day. No hurricanes. A lot heavier rain storms this year which was attributed to climate change.
So your really don't know what really bad weather is is what your are trying to say? You must have some hurricanes?

More or less the same latitude as New York but the ocean currents are from the Gulf of Mexico.
