You make it sound like it is worse than killing a cop. Is 'moderator' a race that needs special protection from the bad RHP guys and girls? In my opinion, a ban for inacceptable attacks is sufficient, the fact that it was a moderator is a ridiculous addition, and makes it a weaker statement.

..i am a very traditional person...no bad language etc..but i just read what tony the mod posted as a reason for banning dd...i realize it is a summary..but IF THE SUMMARY is reflective of the nub of the problem then i don't think dd should have been banned from the site...so a mod does not like to be purloined unfairly in the threads or does not like several unfair pm's ( ever heard of the ignore user device ? )...and those of you know me ( what a surprise that i would stick up for a foul mouth...but i will if tony has accurately ( thru a summary of course)..i have never seen the messages or threads or posts..and if i did i certainly would reconsider this post ) but since shav is still here and his posts have always been disgusting and dd has ( to my reading of them from time to time ) been ok i have to say that tony has made an error..but i am open for correction here..reinfled...

..if being an idiot is enough then i would not even have been allowed to subscribe, resubscribe or buy a subscription for someone else... ( and who is this "tony" who for three years i have never heard of..that should have more influence than anyone else...i think mods should have to vote among themselves ( a matter i have suggested before ) before a mod can take very strong action..did any other mod agree ?...if so ..let us know..perhaps we will end this thread when we see how many mods would have done the same thing ...
I think he had given a warning, a forum ban( which is a let off in a way) and was still receiving harrassing PM's
Even the most notorious and volatile characters around here should be sensible enough to know when they have overstepped the mark and take their forum ban - those who dont and continue to harrass people dont deserve to be members - it is supposed to be a community here, not everyone for themself.
...yes..but i believe that dd and rubberjaw are teenage boys...give them a break !....we were all quite stupid as teenagers...if dd was 40 and did what he did then i would hold him to a different standard...let dd back in and rubberjaw too...but put them on probation...

I've been here before seiges, tournaments, clans, the game explorer, all these extra forums, before moderators even! I was elected to be a moderator by Russ, and the other moderators in place at the time. The reason you don't see much of me is because the only forum I really step into these day is the chess forum. Hopefully soon we can put all of this to bed. Some users made some silly mistakes, and were duly punished. That's the end of it.
