I also remember having too much of the Advocaat stuff, and I've never tried it since... 🙂

We thought Cold Duck was the last word in sophistication, when we ordered it to go with our Curried Chicken and Rice at the Chinese restaurant.

Cuba Libre was my favourite drink when I was in my late teens - rum, cola, lime juice, and ice.

We all drank the same cocktails, it was the done thing. I don't know what they drink nowadays, except that it all seems to be either bourbon or rum based.

I think it's mostly wine now. The good thing about strong liqueur is that it's normally not consumed every day - wine is though for many, and young people don't always know what's good for them. So that could be a problem later on.

It certainly isn't wine here, wine is consumed by 20+. We have a huge problem with underage drinkers who set out deliberately to get "legless". They concentrate on spirits because it's the quickest way to get into that state.

T.G.I.F. Baby!!!

May I, as a Dutchman, apologise profusely to the rest of the world for the existence of advocaat? I really do not know why some of us thought it was a good idea to invent this abomination.
