@fmf saidthirsty after having a box brownie camera shoved down my throat...then being told I would have to wait 1/2 hour for a cup of rosie, hunger when I was Nil by mouth for the best part of 2 days when my heart op was put back so toast thursday morning roast beef dinner after my op friday 7 pm approx....it didnt touch the sides.

I was 18 and hitchhiking across Canada with no money. Late one night while walking through a town I saw a fruit stand that had lowered the tent over the boxes so I figured that was their way of leaving the food there and lowering the tent was to keep people and animals out.
So I crawled in and while on my hands and knees I reached up and grabbed a big apple. I ravenously started biting into it...
It turned out to be a big green tomato that wasn't even close to being ripe.
I puked a bunch and left.
Thirst
Early on in my homeless wanderer days I didn't know anything or where to go so I just walked a lot and one night I realized I was lost and of course, no money.
I was so thirsty from a whole day of walking I picked up a discarded soda bottle from the side of the road and I drank what was left of it.
It was orange soda.

i was told we'd not eat for three days, and were allotted a single canteen of water, each
(our party was a dozen or so lads, associated with the boy scouts of america)
we were not allowed to speak a word
we were separated and assigned a space to meditate and reflect upon the situation, and encouraged to be as still as possible for the duration

True story but FMF thought I made it up.
It happened in Washington DC.
