Ah, if we can mention books here, too: Arturo Perez-Reverte, "The Flanders Panel", revolves around an old chess game. It's a great book, too.

How's the movie? I didn't even know there was one. I read the book a long time ago (long before I started to play chess) and found it quite fascinating.
