Smooth or crunchy?

Commercial or natural?

Specific brand?

This admittedly fluctuates, but my go-to PB is Skippy crunchy.

I like Skippy creamy and sometimes try other brands and also enjoy all natural PB, like Teddy. But I hate stirring the all-natural brands.

And why do the all-natural brands (made only of peanuts and salt) have as many calories (if not more!) as the brands that contain sugar?!

Give me a jar of Skippy and a loaf of bread any day and I’m happy.

Thoughts?

You make a great point.

PB is often most enjoyable between two toasted slices of bread so the PB melts from the heat of the bread.

Excellent observation!

@PB1022

Maybe similar to Suzi I get the fresh-ground peanut butter from the whole-foods section, but I don't know if mine has salt added.

BTW, how do you feel about pickles and/or hot sauce on a PB sandwich?

Also, what kind of bread do you prefer?

Store brand, creamy.
One of my favorite things, but seldom eat it because all the sugar fat etc.
2 Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls, put in a bowl together side by side. Put on a 1/2" PB, then put in freezer until frozen. Then put on 3 or 4 scoops of vanilla or chocolate chip, top with Magic Shell.

Klondike used to have an ice cream bar with frozen PB in the center.

There was PB and relish on TV on Happy Days, I think it was Fonzi's grandma made them

I could be wrong, some say I don't remember anything let alone a sitcom I hardly ever watched. I didn't like any of the characters etc

Oh! I forgot to answer your question. When younger I preferred chunky (store-bought), but my teeth have deep crevices and I'm starting to lose them besides, so nowadays I prefer smooth.

Blech. Never liked pickles and can’t imagine hot sauce going well with PB.

I used to eat PB, mayo and American cheese sandwiches and thought those were awesome. Haven’t had one in a while.

And gotta have a bread of substance - like multigrain - for a PB sandwich, though lately I try to confine myself to low-carb bread.

You know why PB and milk go well together? They apparently complement each other protein-wise. PB’s an incomplete protein.

That sounds awesome, but yeah the sugar content must be through the roof.

When I was in the hospital one time and they wanted to raise my blood sugar, they gave me PB with crackers.

PB and relish sounds gross, but I never liked relish either.

I used to watch Happy Days when I was a kid and don’t remember that, though it’s definitely possible.

I didn’t Fonzie knew his father or maybe his father ran out on him when he was a kid. Obviously if his grandma knew him, he knew his father.
