One of my favourite TV series from my early years was U.F.O.
Why did I like it (and still do)…
As live action (rather than the puppetry of Thunderbirds, Joe90 and Captain Scarlet) from the Gerry Andersen stable it was way ahead of its time and had a big budget and great cast. The series was quite dark and sinister based around the idea that humanoid aliens from a dying world were maintaining their own bodies by harvesting human organs, and travelling light years in high tech spaceships to make raids on earth.
There was also corporate drama and interpersonal rivalries within S.H.A.D.O. an acronym for “Secret Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation”. Futuristic (for 1970) cars, cool fashions, good looking guys and beautiful women added to the appeal as well as a great opening sequence and theme tune. Gabriel Drake as lieutenant Gay Ellis was of course, my favourite!

You're dumbing down your own forum, man.
Eventually it'll just be one big trash pit you can regularly set fire to.
And, by the way, Thundercats > Thunderbirds.

Hill Street Blues - The 1st cop show that did NOT portray police officers as clean-cut all-American heroes who always got their man. Instead, we saw the gritty, imperfect side of real police work.
@mchill saidGreat show. Nice theme music. You made me google the music and listen to it.
