Most of the Europeans do make a sound similar to Kerch who.But I have noticed that in Germany the sound is more like Kirch shee.
Once,on holiday in Norway, someone behind me sneezed making a - sort of -Kirch shee sound and I asked him what part of Germany he lived.He was very impressed that I could guess his nationality from the sound of his sneeze.
