Yes, these vacuous bimbos are all in their victimhood like George Bush sent the SS out to destroy their careers. When in doubt, get naked. At least we can look at them and not hear their bad music or their whining. 😠Kirk
They're far from vacuous. They're just not willing to be cowed by those who would take their away their freedom to speak their minds and criticize their government in the name of "patriotism" or loyalty. If anyone saw their interview with Diane Sawyer, who repeatedly (and unsuccessfully) tried to get them to recant their words and apologize, you'll agree that they came off as intelligent and thoughtful, despite all right wing attempts to portray them as otherwise. Sawyer was unable to respond to their quotation of Teddy Roosevelt, a former US president, who said "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile but is morally treasonable to the American public," Sawyer had no response but to go to a commercial.
So keep heaping on the ad hominem arguments finger pointing. As long as people are not afraid to keep standing up for what they believe in, like the Dixie Chicks, it won't make any difference.

You have not said anything to that effect, nor do I think that you would based on other posts that I've seen from you. In fact, if you remember, in another thread discussing the war I was lamenting your absence, since you seem to sometimes be the lone voice of reason on the right.😀
I never questioned their patriotism, only their sense of victimhood. But I stand corrected that perhaps there is more substance than I assumed. I'm still glad they got naked. Kirk, who has no substance.

Thanks, Mike. While I may lean to the right, I would never condone death threats, financial cohersion and the like. Just a little bit of about me in terms of the tension I experience around this. I sometimes visit a variety of churches and find it discouraging when I visit one and I can't tell the difference between it and a Republican gathering. And I visit some where it might as well be a Greenpeace fundraiser. Both leave me feeling equally empty as I hear other agendas that have nothing to do with what I happen to be searching for. I'm currently looking for one where they play chess. 😉 Kirk
