Whoa, we have nerd and geek splattered all over the walls in here.
And it stinks.
Hardware newbies will ask for help when they can't solve a problem that they've been trying to solve. They'll know how to use the Google. They'll take good advice when it is given and they'll learn from their mistakes. Essentially, newbies are new to a particular thing, but want to learn all about it because they're also potential long term enthusiasts.
Hardware n00bs will buy the big thing because it is the shiniest, then not know how it works, so they'll immediately ask random people how the thing works. Then they'll be told what to do but they don't listen because they're busy sticking screwdrivers into toasters and the big shiny thing will break and then they'll ask more questions on how to fix the thing and so on and so on.
From now on I'll just stop wasting my time trying to help n00bs when they post threads like this.
Hey guyz! wat grfx card should i get for my new gaming RIG? derp!

If i thought i had to explain what wasn't necessary for a proper response i would've added a "no Knuckle shuffle experts" by way of a caveat,
I didn't ask to be abused, just what the best alternative was. You taking it for granted that you were disrespected in some way was a funny but unwanted result. Oh, and i never broke the card it was faulty from the getgo. Problems started from the time i turned it on till it was replaced, and my thoughts on the matter is that maybe the burnin program they use doesn't fully test a card of that size.

Yes, i've finally got my i7 gaming rig working. The gtx 295 has been been replaced with a gtx250 (295s have been recalled due to driver issues), and i've been given a week to decide on what graphics card option i want to go with. There's a new radion coming out in a couple of weeks that they could give me, but i was thinking of just taking another 250 to SLI this baby up.
Any ideas on a good graphics card setup option?
