@torunn saidNot a fan myself of either, but as a group they were better than Westlife. 🙂
What is there to say against him, empirically speaking?
@fmf saidI don't know much about Robbie but Gary seems to be an artist who has matured a lot since he left Take That.
It was just a quip, Torunn, alluding to the fact that Williams has probably made three times more money and sold maybe twice as many albums as Barlow since leaving Take That. These are guestimates.

@Torunn
Cards on the table, I have never knowingly known that I knew I was listening to a song by either artist, although I accept that I have probaby heard their music without realizing it.
The same goes for Take That. Their lifespan as a band, I see, was 1990–1996 which more or less corresponds to my time on the edge of the rainforest listening to dangdut and keronchong or living in rural Japan listening to bands like Blur and Radiohead.
@divegeester saidThe artistic temperament produces some great music, but also some crazy behavior. These 2 seem like a milder version of The Who's Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey, those guys had some smash mouth fights on more than one occasion.
Who’s the best?
The fight goes on 💪🏼

@mchill saidI got to see Daltry perform in one of those “picnic in the park” type of events about 15 years ago; it was an excellent gig.

I also got to see Townsend much more briefly when I was driving behind him in his big pale green Mercedes about 20 years ago. Less of an experience to be honest and hardly even worthy of note.

@divegeester saidEric Morecombe wiggled his spectacles at me from the backseat of his chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce as he waited at the traffic lights near my school. A pretty big deal for me. I was eight years old.
