mid 40,s and need girl advice?? well here is mine when she says something you do not agree with stand up for yourself argue the point. why do you let her walk over you!!! . if its because you do not want your present girl to get upset. then that is her problem and you will have to deal with that with her. You are not asking to chose but standing on what you think is right.
In fact, I don't see where the problem is. Just don't meet her, that's all. The two women aren't glued together, nor you and your girlfriend (I believe so at least). So let her have her time with her best friend - and, after all, usually men are not welcome when two women are having a chat. And politely ask your girlfriend to meet you WITHOUT her friend, I believe that your girlfriend feels the tension between you two and will agree easily.
I also have a friend (a guy) and he has a girlfriend I dislike; so I just told him I don't want to meet them together.
I wouldn't advise to make your girfriend to choose between you and her friend. It's her life, her choice of friends, and if you mess with that, you can easily be told to hit the road.

Alternatively, if you don't think she'd play along, you could have her over when your girlfriend is really not there, then aim that revolver darvlay was talking about on her and steal her clothes... and then lock her in the bedroom and invent some wild story about how she tried to rape you and you locked her in to save yourself 🙄
