I always go to movies by myself..just about every week. I go to matinees on mobdays so it is usually pretty empty.
I find that those who go at that time are more into films then most people. They aren't the usual slobs that munch popcorn and slurp soda. God I hate popcorn at movies. They should outlaw it. And turn your darn cellphones off.

Is this pathetic? Or cool?
But I should point out two things to you:
1. Why on earth are you worried if something is cool or not? Do you enjoy it? Yes. Then it's cool.
2. Why on earth would you want to go to the cinema with someone else who's just gonna sit their silently watching the film as well?
Same goes for restaurants. THERE IS NOTHING ROMANTIC ABOUT WATCHING SOMEONE EAT FOOD.

My advice would be to go during the matinee. You also have a better chance of meeting someone else who went to the movie alone. 🙂

Point 2. Yeah, mostly
Point 2b. restaurants. Well, if its romantic, it probably not the food I'm watching or thinking about 😲

Give me a call next time you decide to watch a film.

Yes, I do feel cool buying one ticket and skipping the popcorn. I feel cool picking a seat on my own and enjoying my world alone.
I disagree on one point, though, watching someone you love eat is romantic to me 😛.

No way!
The popcorn is an integral part of going out to see a movie for me.
