Is it any good or not? I've read mixed reports.
Gravity Pros:
O.M.F.G. it's beautiful.
My jaw was hanging open for half the movie, but when "it hits the fan" I felt like an ape in 2001 A Space Odyssey touching the monolith.
It's not my favourite film, not even in my top 20, but I cannot think of anything more visually impressive.
Sandra Bullock in the foetal position.
Gravity Cons:
Too short.
Ugly plot hole involving a major plot point and inertia and delta-v.
Too short.
Sandra Bullock puts her spacesuit on again too soon.
Personal Note:
3D has yet to really impress me. I saw this in 3D and would have been just as happy to see it in 2D.
Originally posted by hopscotchI'm going to see it on Friday, if the visuals are that good you don't need a story just a soundtrack. Think I'll go for 3D though; belt and braces etc.

Saw it tonight, we had the cinema almost to ourselves apart from 5 others.
It was very good I thought, involving and beautiful, despite some questionable physics which would no doubt be torn apart by the nerds in the science forum.
And the orbits. Everything was in the same orbit. And so close to each other. What a coincidence.
Good movie nevertheless, glad you liked it. Sandra Bullock was fantastic.
