Cheers,

I'll go there and visit her next of kin.

Do you think they play chess there?

Yes. They all have chequered faces and play chess on them. Also, their language is based on chess notation. You'll love the place.

Funny you should write that. I read in a scientific journal here in Sweden
that apparently the neanderthals weren't as mentally backwards as we've
always thought. In fact, they appear to have been our equals in many
ways, possibly even with a superior intellect. So why did they die out?
They just weren't as horny as us sapiens. Can you believe that?
Intelligence has nothing to do with survival. It's how horny we are.

Well, I say it's about time you intelligent people started humping a little
more, so I'll just step over into the corner there and watch.

Beer? Check
Popcorn? Check
Tissue? Check

Oh, GOD! Oh, GOD! Aaaah! Let me out of here! Let me out of here! You
people should NEVER, EVER take your clothes off!!!! GOD DAMN!

Old we may be, but senile we ain't! When you get into your golden years you will be wondering at how dumbed-down the youth are.

😀
And some can't make a non-superficial post without unnecessary, excessive analogies. 😛

What we view nightly on televsion is superficial. In the realms of government, international confrontations, genocide and hunger, unstable financial

markets, investment loss, racial hostility, religious fanaticism, crime and divorce rates, RHP Forum frictions are symptoms. Ignorance is the cause.
And still, you keep yourself busy "fighting" for ethics and integrity in an internet forum.

You'd be better becoming soylent green.

ignorance is not the problem. most of us are not ignorant of the world's issues, smokers are not ignorant that they are getting cancer and americans are not ignorant of the fact that bush might have been a war criminal.

apathy is the main problem

That's it and always has been. MOST of us really are. If it doesn't directly affect us it isn't happening.

Pink, respectfully take exception to the popular viewpoint you have expressed. Consider the possibility that poverty (of both body and

soul) represents nothing more or less than an inevitable result. "The poor you shall have with you always", Christ Himself spelled it out.

Three categories of ignorance characterize the human condition: #1 Circumstantial (lack of opportunity). #2 Willful (outright refusal to

learn, remaining unteachable, resisting the acceptance of authority necessary to learn, while clinging to cultural and other comfortable

biases inculcated since childhood). #3 Exponential (ignorance of our areas of ignorance). Brings to mind the New Testament passage,

"If the light that is in them be darkness how great is that darkness". Your post confuses possessing info with making sound decisions.

what does this have to do with my post? i claim that ignorance is not the main problem, apathy is. who cares about the ignorant in the world? they can be enlightened and most of them will probably won't have an impact anyway or allow themselves to be led like sheep by the most influential. the biggest problem is the ones who are already enlightened and choose to not do anything about it.
