I'll bet most people didn't know our solar system is a binary star system!
It could still be a brown dwarf, basically an extra large planet that didn't quite get fusion going but if it were, say, 10 times the mass of Jupiter and swung into the outer reaches of the solar system, it could still cause havoc with those Oort cloud objects.
