I have the Polar F6. Works fine. Never had any porblems with it. However, the chest strap batteries are only good for a certain number of hrs of use, and cannot be replace. You must by a new chest strap. I like the beep it makes when you're above or below your target heart rate.

Everyones fat burning zone is different, and these percentages of a persons MHR should only be taken as a very rough example.
I trained best on a non HRM rule of thumb:
running at converstaional pace = fat burning
running at "can speak but only to answer simple questions" = cardio
running at "couldn't speak, more likely to vomit" = close to max
😛
I'm still yet to meet a person who doesn't sweat though. 😉

When I said not to sweat, yeah, everyone sweats but some more than others, I dont particularly sweat too much, expecially on my chest, back more-so.
The original poster might want to look at.....

There is a very good Cardio and Fitness section there. Enter "Polar" as a search, you might even see one of my old posts!! 😛

One of the nice things about Polar products is that most gym treadmills support them.
You don't even have to wear the watch monitor itself -- just the chest strap, and the treadmill picks up the data. The cool part is that if you are doing a "zone" workout, the machine will adjust speed and incline to keep your heart in the appropriate zone. Nice stuff.
