so i bought a new netbook and i'm trying to connect it to my wireless network. i'm being asked for my network key, i don't remember it and for the life of me i can't find it on this computer. help.

which is where?

i went into the advanced properties of the network connection and it shows the network key blocked out, so i can change thing on this computer using my network key but i can't see what the network key is. anywhere.

Check on the router - some companies slap a sticker with it on underneath or on the side.

Failing that, it should be somewhere in the documentation you got with it.

Failing that, what model router is it?

there was a sticker on it with numbers but neither of them what i need.

Open a browser window and type

http://192.168.1.1

Press enter. A password box should appear.
The default is
Username : Admin
Password : admin

Unless the default info has been changed it should work.
Otherwise 🙁

If you get in, go to the security page and change the password.
