Turns out is was Russ with his "Zero tolerance of cheats" thread with 29 recs :

OK that wasn't what I was hoping for at all. From what I've seen, the top three are all fairly bland an un-interesting 😞

I was hoping for some hilarious masterpiece, crafted from the mind of a complete comic genius or some skillfully deducted piece of essential information which would help to explain the world ... life ... the universe ... everything 😞 (I suppose 42 will just have to do 😵).

Och well suppose I'll just have to make do with the "your top ten places to pick your nose" and "favourite style of sock" type threads for now 😞.

Sufficient amount of time has passed that I can finally confess that the reason I wanted Dodger11 banned was purely personal. And my ploy worked. God bless RHP and its community of sheep.

My point is that this has brought up a question I cant seem to find the answer for:

Who has received the highest amount of recs for a singl ...[text shortened]... , my joke was:

A quick theory behind why the joke got so many recs (other than because it's a classic):

Well, let's face it, who doesn't enjoy mocking the old 'sasanach' every now and again? I know I do.

It was obviously alot more satisfying than my two filthy jokes posted on the same page (0 recs for me). Next time, I shall remember this, and add one of the "Old Boys" to the punchline, or at least put on the Essex accent to tell it.

Hee hee.😀

Yup we have a new leader : Darvlay with 31 recs for his admittedly dodgy list of reasons to ban dodger.

Well it doesnt matter if your reasons were personal or not if it recieved 31 recs you cannot have been the only ones to feel this way.

ALSO: Can I just check - am i right in presuming that each sub can only rec each post once and that they cannot rec one of their own posts?

To be honest I think I may know a couple of others that could have been added to that thread but that was the only one I could think of at the time.
