This is the place to come if you want to grumble about the new user interface.
{Not for serious reporting of actual difficulties though}
When I first started using the new interface (beta version) two months ago, I had some serious complaints. Now, all the ones that really mattered have been fixed, and all I have left is a small grumble about sorting by time remaining, which isn't good. Still, it's hardly a game-changer ...
Anyone else?
Throttled, to put it mildly. So much so, I quit chess for decades, until one Saturday Afternoon, early July, 2007, when my son called to tell me all about this great On-Line Correspondence Chess Site he'd found. You guessed it, I Balked! In No Way was I prepared for change; the prospect of having to learn new laptop functions and the site's format requirements floored me. One point, I even envisioned the need for special classes. Two weeks later (following a few calls from him during the interim) I reluctantly agreed to give it a try. Today's a Serving of Scone or Piece of Chocolate Cake. lol (gb)

It's a (User Experience) disaster - worse than the old site.
It's really clear that the design elements have been created based on what has been seen on other websites rather than a clear, light design made specifically for this project.

On another simpler note, I just noticed that the embedded chessboards don't show up on the recommended posts page.

Simply thought my comment illustrated the fact that deep reasons
underscore most all human resistance to change; as well as my own
realization of its relativity to prior experience as being relevant.

Although good advice, once zipped over the wire, these kind of inefficiencies (inline CSS) are actually not as significant as you might think/imply.
RHP has been a site that I have enjoyed and paid for since I think 2003? I do NOT like the look and feel of the new page at all. Unless there is a "classic" mode, I may be letting my subscription go.
I'm sure somebody worked really hard to try to make this updated, but my question is why. It did not need it at all.

Everyone had plenty of time to check out the new site and make their complaints. But no, they did nothing, and now they're complaining.
